Tastes Like Chicken

No matter what the meat, my boys always ask for seconds by asking for "more chicken."

The cows from Chik-Fil-A would be very happy at our house... (except we actually eat a lot of beef...shhh!)

Video I Wish I Could Capture Tastefully

Nursing Conan is one of the most amusing parts of my day. He is quite the little ham.  Because this is something that would be inappropriate to catch on video, I'll just have to be satisfied with a word picture to capture this memory.

Imagine...

Eye rubbing. Lip pouting. Loss of balance. Little hands attempt to climb up the tree that is mama's leg.

It's nap time.

I turn on Conan's fan, scoop up the small dictator, and head for the well-loved, blue rocker recliner--a gift from Steph that has become my most cherished resting spot. While moving, Conan launches for the goods and screams in frustration that they are not yet uncovered--didn't I know he was hungry???

I get situated and he dives in. Slowly his eyes unfocus and half-close in milk heaven. A small smile turns up the corner of his lips as he drifts on into contentment. In less than 5 minutes, I am convinced he is asleep.

But I am wrong.

Just as I am about to make the move to the crib, Conan bolts upright and wraps his little arms around my neck in a baby hug. He then sits back, his eyes still half shut, and, with a playful grin, begins to bounce up and down on the squishy that is my post-baby belly.  His joy is quite evident for those 30 seconds, then he dives over to the other side, latches on, and promptly falls back asleep.

He makes me laugh.
